Eric Belker is a black belt in karate, and the owner of Frenchtown Fitness Center in Frenchtown, MT.  He met Joe Stone through Lisa Heinle, founder of the I Run For Bob Foundation. Eric had developed a deep personal friendship and connection with Lisa and her husband Bob Heinle, a fellow retired police officer.  Eric had completed eight IRONMAN triathlons and was drawn to Joe’s passion and commitment for pushing the boundaries and exploring the limits of possibility.  Eric joined Joe as a friend, mentor and training partner for Joe’s pursuit of becoming the first wheel-chair using quadriplegic to complete an IRONMAN Triathlon.
